Recognizing the unique potential that exists between entertainment and technology, Purdue University has created the Purdue International Center for Entertainment Technology (PICET), devoted to the research, development, education, and technological advancement of the entertainment industry.

The goal of the Center is to maximize the quality of the consumer’s entertainment experience and the technical efficiency and diversity of the industry. Entertainment technology, as recognized by the Center, includes dynamic media (Web, Video, Film, Gaming), performance-based and location-based entertainment.

PICET seeks to form working partnership in areas of education, applied and developmental research, and in technology development, integration and dissemination in all aspects of the use and application of technology in entertainment.
